  • Sissons Farm is a private property. Additionally to the wedding barn the property is also a working farm and livery yard. All visits must be pre-booked in advance. If anyone arrives without an appointment they will be asked to book an appointment and return another day. To avoid disappointment please email Ben using the email address above.

  • To hold your ceremony at the barn it is an additional cost, please refer to the brochure to confirm the price.

  • The day before the wedding is always reserved for you to come set up. You have between the hours of 9am and 6pm and may bring as many hands as you will require to help.

  • 12 x 5’6″ Round tables which will seat between 8 and 10 people (depending on the type of food you are having)

    3 x 2’6″ x 6′ Trestle tables. Which can be used as a long top table

    120 Cross backed wooden chairs with neutral coloured cushions.

    1 x 3’6’’ x 1’5’’ Wooden ceremony table

    1 x 2’ Black iron cake table

    1 x 3′ Cake table

    3 x High Chairs

    3 x Sofas in the lounge bar

    Additional furniture can be hired upon your request. Please email Ben and we will we send quotes for the cost of hire.

  • All outside music must stop by 10.30pm and 12 midnight inside.

  • Yes. We ask for all cars to be collected by 12 noon the following day.

  • Unfortunately we do not. They are damaging to the animals and crops on the farm, as well as the surrounding eco system. However you are very welcome to have sparklers outside on the lawn.

  • No, we do not allow fire pits.

  • Unfortunately we cannot allow any naked flame in the barn, this includes candles in concealed in jars or lanterns. You are very welcome to use LED alternatives. If you would like to use candle sticks as decoration, please be aware you will be required to cut the wicks off as a safety precaution.

  • There is no accommodation or camping on site. Please see our list of accommodation on our recommended suppliers list

  • The driveway, terrace area, paths and car parks are all well lit. There is also decorative lighting in the garden.

  • Unfortunately not. Although we are dog lovers ourselves, we have animals on the farm and do not allow outside pets to be brought on the property. No animals are allowed to enter the barn to protect people who may be allergic. Additionally The Peterborough Registry Office does not allow any animals to be present during a wedding ceremony. These rules do not apply to service animals.

  • Yes, you can set up a sweet cart. We do not allow sweets with individual wrappers. You will need to supply scoops and sweet bags. If you require one of our 6’ x 2’ trestle tables please request an additional 90×90 table cloth from your caterer.

  • All drinks must be provided by Sissons Barn. Corkage is the only exception to this. Corkage must be discussed with Sissons Barn in advance and can not be arranged the day before or the day of the wedding. Any drinks found during the event, that were not purchased from the bar, will be confiscated. We always try our best to accommodate your needs so if you would like a specific spirt to be available at the bar please contact us in advance. We also do not allow any alcohol to be given out as favours

  • Yes we do. It is often used for background playlists and for ceremony music. There is also two microphones available for speeches. We also have a PA system for outside ceremonies, however this is not linked up to the main barn system. The PA system is not suitable for the band or DJ to use.

  • We do not but you are more than welcome to bring your own.

  • Our Massey Ferguson Tractor. You will have have the option to have a chauffeur driven ride around the farm with the purpose to take beautifully romantic photos.

  • We have a beautiful vintage tea set. There is enough for 120 guests and would be available throughout the day and evening. The cost to hire the tea chest is £150.

  • We do allow confetti to be thrown in the garden. However the confetti must only be natural dried flower petals. We do not allow any synthetic or biodegradable confetti to be thrown inside or outside, this includes confetti canons and confetti balloons.

  • No, at Sissons Barn, we believe your wedding breakfast should be a reflection of you as a couple. That’s why we don’t limit you to set menus. Keith at Beetroot Catering will work closely with you to create a bespoke meal that not only suits your tastes but also meets the needs of all your guests, ensuring a truly personalized dining experience.
