OUR FAMILY

For over a decade, Sissons Farm has been the backdrop for many beautiful weddings. We married here in 2012, and since that special day, we’ve been eager to share the farm's unique charm with others. What started with marquee weddings in our gardens and expansive paddocks quickly grew into something more, as we sought to provide a lasting space for couples to celebrate their love.

In 2015, we took the next step in realizing our dream—creating a bespoke wedding venue that could offer a spectacular setting year-round. We envisioned a barn that blended timeless elegance with the comforts needed to make every couple and guest feel at home. After years of planning and development, our vision came to life in 2019 with the opening of Sissons Barn. Designed with care and crafted with the help of our wonderful family, friends, and professional partners, the barn is a true labour of love.

Today, we continue to run the venue with the support of Granny and Grandpa, and the business thrives through a team with a diverse range of qualifications, experiences, and passions. Together, we are committed to ensuring that Sissons Barn remains a place where love stories unfold, and where each couple’s day is as extraordinary as the setting itself.

THE FARM

Sissons Farm has been a cherished part of the Harris family for four generations, with our ancestors living and working on the land long before it became the stunning wedding venue it is today. As a thriving arable farm with a livery yard, Sissons remains privately owned and managed by our family, ensuring that its rich history and natural beauty continue to flourish for generations to come. Our deep-rooted connection to the land is reflected in everything we do, from maintaining the farm’s heritage to creating unforgettable wedding experiences.

Nestled in the heart of the Fenland landscape, Sissons Barn offers breathtaking views of vast blue skies, making it a truly picturesque setting for your special day. Our exquisitely manicured gardens feature year-round borders and wildflower areas, providing the perfect backdrop for your wedding photos in every season. To keep our gardens thriving, we harvest rainwater and have carefully designed our space with patinaed gates and rustic fencing that blend seamlessly with the natural surroundings.

Beyond the gardens, the landscape itself offers endless photographic opportunities. The peaceful Folly River flows nearby, adding to the venue’s charm and creating a romantic, tranquil atmosphere.
